The Old China Hands lunch 3 January 2020 was the first one of 2020, a year where we face the Year of the Rat (my year!). We were 32 while we were initially worried nobody would turn up…

Lively conversation as always with some hanging around till late afternoon…
This time also some pics of the (great) food. It is a special deal for us only for the business lunch, with a choice of several starters and several main dishes, plus desert and coffee or tea. Thanks to Renaat and Susan of Morel’s Restaurant! See also the wonderful Christmas decoration, design, execution and pictures by Susan. Many people stopped on the street to take pictures of it!

Next round is on Friday 7 February 2020, well after Chinese New Year.

Our monthly lunch at Morel’s Restaurant

The Old China Hands lunch 6 December 2019 was the last lunch of 2019, a year where we enjoyed our monthly lunches. We were well over 30, a pretty nice number for the time of the year. The list of “members” is now well over 100!

Normally everybody goes for the (special) business lunch but one insisted for a fondue. Can’t blame him, the fondue is great, see the menu.

Our next lunch

Next round is on Friday 3 January 2020, the first lunch of the new year. I decided to keep it on the first Friday, whoever is in town!
To all our OCH friends, a Happy New Year, also the Year of the Rat (my year), coming soon.

Our monthly lunch at Morel’s Restaurant

The Old China Hands lunch 19 October was different: exceptionally not on the first Friday of the month as the restaurant was closed due to the October 1 holidays.
We saw a moderate turnout with nearly 30 people, new faces, old faces.

Our next lunch

Next round is on Friday 1 November.
In the last lunch there was a misunderstanding about the coffee & tea. Yes, it was to be included in the price. Renaat Morel will offer a second cup at the next lunch if anybody wants!

Old China Hands lunch 6 September was kind of back to normal after the sauna months. We were a nice 31, with many being too busy to attend.

Our next lunch: a change!

I just returned from a 2-week trip to Phuket, so this goes out a bit late. Hopefully without any confusing errors.
Our upcoming lunch will be exceptionally not on the first Friday of the month as the restaurant is closed due to the October 1 holidays. Instead of cancelling we decided to have it on Friday 11 October. Take note! Renaat and Susan will not be back yet but the restaurant will be open.
Then it will be 1 November.
